POSITION SUMMARY:  
The Manager, CTA and Logistics, is responsible for leading the Compounding Team Assistants (CTAs) and overseeing logistics operations at Aved. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient coordination and delivery of compounded sterile preparations to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities. Working closely with the Compounding Team Manager and Quality manager, this individual ensures that all team activities adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Practices, while fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and performance excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, along with exceptional communication, analytical, time-management, and critical thinking skills. As a key member of the leadership team, the Manager will assess and optimize operational workflows, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and drive productivity to support the organization's broader goals. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Provide clear, results-oriented leadership to support the achievement of operational goals 

  • Logistics Management:  

  • Oversee the coordination and efficient fulfillment of production deliveries. 

  • Using logistics software to manage inventory levels, track shipments and streamline logistics operations. 

  • Team Responsibilities: recruitment, training, staff scheduling and performance management of direct reports, ensuring: 

  • Regular review of job descriptions and employee development plans. 

  • Provision of ongoing coaching, feedback, and recognition. 

  • Alignment with organizational policies, including safety and employment practices. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Cultivate positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to pharmacies, sales team, compounding team manager, quality team. 

  • Employee Relations: Address employee issues in collaboration with HR, ensuring timely resolution and fostering a productive, respectful work environment. 

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure departmental objectives are aligned with Aved’s corporate and strategic goals. 

  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the success of the broader organization. 
     

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field considered an asset. 

  • Experience: 

  • A minimum of 1 year of logistics experience in a relevant field 

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, retail or hospital pharmacy, or large-scale sterile compounding facilities preferred. 

  • Previous management experience considered an asset. 

  • Knowledge of cold-chain distribution considered an asset. 

  • Technical Skills: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools (e.g., PK compounder software, Zoho Inventory). 

  • Core Competencies: 

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
