JOB DESCRIPTION 

POSITION:                                             Accounts Receivable Clerk  

COMPANY AND LOCATION:                Auxilium Health, Suite 200 – 44 Richmond St. W., Oshawa, ON  

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:                          Full-Time, Permanent  

HOURS WORKED:                                37.5 hours / week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm  

POSITION REPORTING TO:                Finance Manager 

DIRECT REPORTS:                              No   

 
POSITION SUMMARY:  
Responsible for ensuring that all company sales invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This includes reviewing, verifying, and reconciling sales invoices, as well as assisting with the overall financial operations of the company by ensuring that accounts receivable records are kept up to date. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Receive, review, and verify sales invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. 

  • Enter sales invoices and payment information into the accounting system. 

  • Prepare and process customer payments by cheque, EFT, or other approved methods. 

  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies or issues. 

  • Communicate with customers to address any billing discrepancies or issues. 

  • Maintain organized and accurate records of accounts receivable transactions. 

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and accounts receivable aging reports. 

  • Other administrative work and tasks as assigned. 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Degree or Diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field. 

  • Prior experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role is preferred. 

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively consult with customers and internal teams. 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
